About the Role

As an Asset Protection Scheme Interface Manager within the Asset Protection & Optimisation (ASPRO) team, you will play a key role in integrating externally funded projects into the operational railway environment. You will work closely with external clients, developers, local authorities and industry partners to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and compliantly while protecting the safety, performance and integrity of the rail network.

This role involves managing high-value, politically sensitive and multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring compliance with Network Rail governance, the Railways Act, Network Licence, CDM Regulations and Common Safety Method - Risk Assessment (CSM-RA) Regulations. You will provide expert guidance to external parties, facilitate stakeholder engagement, monitor risks and performance, and support the recovery of Network Rail costs.

Requirements

Experience
- Demonstrable experience delivering projects within the rail environment
- Strong knowledge of operational railway and railway infrastructure
- Experience managing stakeholder relationships and communication
- Understanding of project commercial requirements, programme controls, and budget management
- Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation including CDM Regulations and CSM-RA
- Familiarity with PACE lifecycle and assurance processes

Qualifications
- Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
- Membership (or working towards membership) of the Association for Project Management
- PRINCE2 Foundation or equivalent qualification

Desirable
- Knowledge of investment, commercial and procurement practices
- Previous experience within Asset Protection
- Understanding of rail infrastructure maintenance techniques
- Knowledge of rail possessions and isolations
