About the Role
Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. With over 34,000 people across more than 30 countries, we are dedicated to improving quality of life. As part of our growing Cost and Commercial Assurance team, the Assistant Cost Assurance Consultant will help clients gain greater confidence in project expenditure, commercial governance, and contract compliance across major infrastructure and construction programmes. This role is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious graduate or early-career professional seeking to develop a career in cost consultancy, commercial assurance, quantity surveying, or construction finance within a supportive and collaborative environment. You will work alongside experienced Cost Assurance Consultants to support the review and analysis of cost information, helping clients understand whether contractual and commercial requirements are being met. Key responsibilities include analysing contractor cost data, supporting cost assurance reviews and audits, assisting with cost sampling, payroll reviews, and employment contract audits, gathering and assessing financial and project documentation, preparing reports and findings, and building positive relationships with project teams, contractors, and client stakeholders. National travel may be required to support project reviews and stakeholder engagement.

Experience
We are looking for individuals who are naturally curious, analytical, and detail-oriented, with the ability to turn complex information into meaningful insights. Experience with cost management or ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, COINS, or ICON is advantageous but not essential.

About you
You will have strong numerical and analytical skills, intermediate Microsoft Excel capability, and confidence working with data. Excellent organisation and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment. A proactive mindset and a focus on delivering quality outcomes are important.

Qualifications
A degree in Quantity Surveying, Accountancy, Construction Management, or a related discipline is preferred. An interest in commercial, contractual, and financial analysis is essential.
