About the Role

We are excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Level Chartered Building Surveyor to join our well-established L&I Technical Due Diligence and Building Surveying team. This role primarily involves managing transaction-based assignments within the UK, focusing on technical advisory services with scope for personal skills and career growth.
You will bring outstanding technical expertise and extensive experience in commercial surveying and consultancy, particularly in Technical Due Diligence (TDD). The role requires managing and commissioning multiple assignments simultaneously, delivering high-quality services often within larger commission teams to achieve excellent client outcomes. Direct client interaction is a key element, requiring confidence and professionalism. Effective time management and financial accountability are essential to ensure deadlines are met and project costs align with profitability targets.
Role Accountabilities
- Provide Technical Due Diligence advice and reporting to identify key risks, assess severity, quantify impact, and recommend actionable risk mitigation strategies.
- Deliver TDD work across various commercial building types alongside core building surveying services.
- Take on leadership responsibilities with opportunities for managerial and technical development.
- Manage risks in service delivery and contribute to continuous improvement and organic revenue growth.
- Manage and deliver professional technical consultancy commissions including condition surveys.
- Communicate effectively to ensure successful project execution and collaborate with Project Managers and Team Leaders to maintain financial control.
- Represent Arcadis professionally as a trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders.
- Provide regular progress updates to the Sector Director.
- Mentor and support junior building surveyors to foster team growth and technical knowledge.

Experience
Degree qualified and MRICS accredited with significant post-qualification experience (PQE) in commercial building surveying and consultancy, particularly Technical Due Diligence.
