About the Role

As Assistant Digital Engineering and BIM Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating activities of a team to develop and maintain information requirements and standards, and for developing and managing processes within a common data environment. You will manage the delivery of the information management function for the project team, providing support throughout the project lifecycle.

You will advise, innovate, understand, develop and implement processes described within the ISO19650 series, including how information is produced and assured for digital delivery. Effective communication with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders is essential. You will develop an understanding of ISO19650 and applicable client standards, ensure security protocols are followed for viewing and issuing information on all projects, and monitor digital handover to completion.

Your role will include participating in industry events to stay up to date on the latest BIM developments, supporting construction sequencing strategy using information models, and supporting governance and assurance processes. You will assist in the preparation of cost plans from information models, support object library development aligned with wider BIM strategy, and contribute to the development of BIM execution plans (BEP) and information requirements (OIR, AIR, PIR, and EIR) as per ISO 19650.

Additional responsibilities include supporting the production of information standards, methods, procedures, and shared resources, providing support during the production of the Information Model (Pre-RIBA Stage 3 only), and performing in line with the Information management assignment matrix (from Table A.1 of BS EN ISO 19650-2). You will also upskill client teams, Mace project managers, and design teams by running BIM knowledge sharing sessions and collaborate with Mace PM and Design teams on procedural elements and compliance with the Mace way.

Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, you will share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of associated carbon emissions and reductions during project delivery.

Experience
Experience working with Autodesk Desktop Products, Validation and Verification Tools, and Visualisation Tools is required. Familiarity with ISO19650 series and BIM processes is essential. Experience in supporting digital engineering and information management functions within construction or consultancy environments is highly desirable.

Qualifications
Level 3 qualifications or equivalent are required. This includes A level, access to higher education diploma, advanced apprenticeship, AS level, international Baccalaureate diploma, level 3 award, level 3 certificate, level 3 diploma, level 3 ESOL, level 3 national certificate, level 3 national diploma, level 3 NVQ, or T Level.
