About the Role
The Assistant Manager is responsible for coordinating and delivering leasing and reservations activities while assisting the General Manager in the day-to-day management of the property portfolio. The role focuses on achieving budgeted revenue, occupancy priorities, resident retention, and leasing goals. Key responsibilities include acting as a role model by demonstrating core values, managing viewing activities to ensure company standards, participating in the leasing process, and maintaining accurate records using property systems. The Assistant Manager actively engages with residents to improve service delivery, promotes resident satisfaction and retention, oversees on-site inquiries, and monitors sales and leasing activities. Additional duties include coordinating tenancy management processes such as inspections, evictions, and rent arrears management, working closely with the maintenance team to uphold property standards, and supporting the General Manager in team motivation and development. The role also involves ensuring compliance with UK tenancy legislation, health and safety regulations, and company policies, promoting investor satisfaction through timely reporting, and identifying opportunities to generate revenue and maximize efficiency. The Assistant Manager may act up for the General Manager when required and participate in an on-call roster for emergency support.
Experience
- Proven success in driving leasing and sales performance with operational management experience including P&L responsibility and budget monitoring within the property sector or a similar environment.
- Detailed knowledge of Landlord/Tenant legislation.
- Experience motivating teams and delivering service excellence in a management role is desirable.
- Understanding of debt collection processes is desirable.

Qualifications
- Good level of general education.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Proficiency in property operations software; training will be provided.
- Financial understanding of accounts and budgeting; further development will be provided.
