About the Role
Join ACCOR and be part of bringing the iconic Raffles experience to London at The OWO on Whitehall. The Assistant Restaurant Manager will be responsible for the daily leadership and smooth operation of the restaurant, ensuring a high level of service and managing line staff while supporting senior management. You will play an active role in departmental administration including rotas, training plans, onboarding, stock ordering, and delivery. This role requires developing the outlet and team to consistently meet and exceed Raffles’ luxury service standards, confidently handling customer feedback and complaints.
You will work closely with the kitchen and reservation teams to ensure seamless and exceptional guest experiences. Responsibilities include developing and documenting service standards, communicating effectively with guests and hotel staff, managing time-sensitive targets, and being a hands-on leader and mentor. You will oversee staff development, onboarding, training, and appraisals, create fair rotas while meeting labor cost targets, and manage food and beverage service to Raffles brand standards.
Additional duties include managing stock and wastage, promoting sustainable practices, delivering food orders with detailed knowledge of the menu, acting as a liaison between Front and Back of House teams, assisting wait staff, ensuring food safety, and maintaining composure under pressure. You may also be required to perform duties in other departments or restaurants as needed.
This role demands strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to multitask while maintaining a professional appearance. You will contribute to cost management, revenue targets, employee engagement, health and safety compliance, and fostering a creative and innovative team environment.

Experience
Proven track record of delivering exceptional service and surprising guests with memorable experiences. Experience working under pressure in a luxury hospitality environment is highly desirable.

Qualifications
Desirable previous experience within a luxury hotel environment working with LQA, Forbes 5* or equivalent standards. Knowledge of health and safety procedures and ability to enforce them. Willingness to work night shifts and perform manual handling duties as required.
