About the Role
First impressions are everything! As a Front Desk Agent at The Savoy, you will provide a welcome experience like no other. Your personalised greeting, care in guest room selection, and knowledge of the hotel will ensure our guests have a lasting memory of their visit. You will passionately and expertly create a 5-star luxury guest experience characterised by flawless efficiency and authentic emotional connection. You will take ownership of any guest request, seeing it through until completion. Reporting to the Front Office Manager, your key responsibilities include consistently offering professional, friendly and engaging service, greeting, checking in and settling guest accounts while ensuring service standards are met, assisting guests with hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way, performing administrative duties including assistance with the Night Audit preparation, responding to each guest who approaches Reception, driving rate through up-selling room brands, following department policies, procedures and service standards, adhering to all safety policies, paying keen attention to guest preferences and updating profiles accordingly, and performing other duties as assigned.
Experience
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Front Desk related role within a luxury hospitality environment.
About you
Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written, with the ability to build rapport quickly and communicate well with people at all levels. Enthusiastic and positive personality with the ability to build trusting relationships. Ability to multitask and problem solve in a fast-paced environment. Keen eye for detail. Previous experience handling guest complaints and going the extra mile to meet guest needs. Flexibility to work different shifts including night shifts. Knowledge of OPERA PMS.
Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional guest service in a luxury environment. Willingness to be flexible and multi-skilled to meet the needs of guests and colleagues.
