About the Role
Raffles London at The OWO on London’s Whitehall combines the allure and heritage of Raffles with one of the world’s most historic addresses, synonymous with luxury, glamour, and extraordinary adventure. This Grade II* listed Edwardian building features 120 rooms and suites alongside 85 exceptional branded residences. The OWO destination includes nine restaurants and three bars, including one by signature chef Mauro Colagreco, the Guerlain spa, Pillar Wellness, and a grand ballroom, The Whitehall, with a 600-seat capacity ideal for all special occasions and events.
As Events Manager, you will sell and plan a wide range of social and corporate events at Raffles London, delivering exceptional service throughout. You will ensure the events offering remains best-in-class, evolving with industry trends to continually delight guests. Your role includes developing new business and contributing to projects that strengthen the events department's positioning.
Your responsibilities include managing event enquiries, preparing proposals and contracts, negotiating pricing, planning and executing events to Raffles London standards, and being present at events to ensure smooth operations. Post-event follow-up with clients and accurate billing are key, as is building a portfolio of regular clients and encouraging repeat business. You will conduct site visits, entertain guests, agents, and bookers, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of event trends to innovate and create exciting event experiences.
Additional duties may include covering for senior staff or working in other departments or restaurants as required. Leadership responsibilities involve maintaining composure under pressure, guiding the team, and encouraging creativity and innovation.
Health and Safety is paramount; you will ensure all hazards are reported and rectified, be fully conversant with fire, emergency, and bomb procedures, and promote a culture of safety awareness within the department.
Experience
Recent experience in event management in a similar role is essential. Strong understanding of revenue management and guidelines to maximise event profit. Market knowledge of competitors and event industry trends. Proven ability to provide high levels of service under pressure.

Exceptional communication and customer service skills, both written and spoken. Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task while maintaining a professional appearance. Willingness to contribute to a 24-hour operational schedule when required. Ability to lead and inspire a team, remain composed under pressure, and promote creativity and innovation.
Qualifications
Desirable knowledge of Delphi FDC, Salesforce, and Opera PMS. Previous experience within a luxury hotel environment working with LQA, Forbes 5* or equivalent standards is advantageous.
