About the Role
The Savoy is one of the world's most iconic hotels, renowned for outstanding service excellence since 1889. As a Bartender in the Beaufort Bar, you will work in a glamorous setting defined by jet-black and gold décor, offering a discreet entrance and a cool late night vibe. Open Thursday to Saturday nights with a DJ after dark, the Beaufort Bar is a luxurious venue serving creative cocktails, prestige spirits, rare vintages, fine wines, and Champagnes. The bar’s menu takes guests on a journey through centuries and flavours, focusing on the Champagne region’s unique taste profiles and complemented by a luxurious bar dining menu.

Your purpose is to be an ambassador for exceptional service, delivering a memorable and professional 5-star beverage experience. You will share your passion for mixology and provide warm, personal attention to guests, ensuring the hallmark Savoy bar experience. Your responsibilities include mixing drinks according to standardised recipes, assisting guests with menu choices enthusiastically, upselling to boost revenue, contributing ideas to beverage menus, and maintaining all safety, sanitation, and COVID policies.

You will be part of a team delivering extraordinary service with a distinctive personal touch, supporting the creative process of beverage offerings across the hotel, and sharing knowledge of mixology, promotions, and Savoy stories.

Experience
1-2 years bartending experience in a luxury environment

- Passionate about 5-star hospitality with a strong understanding of what it takes to deliver it
- Empathetic with a talent for building rapport and reading guests’ desired level of interaction
- Quick thinking, resourceful, and able to solve problems in the moment
- Calm and courteous under pressure in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Collaborative team player
- Willing to work rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays
- Good knowledge of spoken and written English
- Right to work in the UK

Qualifications
Desirable:
- Basic knowledge of POS systems
- Basic knowledge of OpenTable
- Industry-related certifications such as WSET
