About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Building Surveyor to join our established Education Building Surveying team. The role focuses on working with multiple Education clients across the UK, including universities, schools, trusts, and Government bodies. You will be a technically excellent leader with broad building surveying expertise, including capital works delivery and condition surveys, managing multiple instructions simultaneously.

The role involves building and maintaining strong client relationships, leading pursuits, and delivering exceptional service often as part of a larger commission team. You will be confident in direct client engagement, managing your time effectively to meet deadlines and ensuring financial performance aligns with cost forecasts.

Key accountabilities include leading the delivery of capital works on educational assets, managing professional technical consultancy commissions such as condition surveys and occasional dilapidations, and ensuring efficient financial control in liaison with Project Managers and Team Leaders. You will provide regular progress updates to the Sector Director and support mentoring and supervision of junior building surveyors. This position offers a high level of responsibility and accountability with opportunities for managerial and technical development within a successful and growing specialist team.

Experience
- Proven building surveying expertise with multi-discipline experience
- Experience in capital works delivery and condition surveys
- Ability to manage multiple instructions and project risk
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to develop client relationships
- Understanding of challenges faced by Education clients
- Ability to meet tight project deadlines and manage quality standards

Qualifications
- Degree in Building Surveying
- Ideally MRICS qualified or working towards MRICS
