Evelina London cares for local children in Lambeth and Southwark and provides specialist services across south east England including cardiac, renal and critical care services. We lead a number of specialist service networks aiming to ensure children are treated locally where possible, but have access to specialist expertise when they need it. Our community services include health visiting, school nursing and support for families of children with long-term conditions. Our adult community services teams deliver care at the heart of the local communities we serve, working in partnership with GPs, local authorities and other healthcare and voluntary sector organisations. Working with our partners in Lambeth and Southwark, we are focusing on new ways of working to improve care for local patients. Job overview We are seeking a Associate Director of Delivery – data and analytics programme on a three - six month term to lead the transformation to a centralised admin function within Guy's and St Thomas'. Main duties of the job Lead the Centralised Admin Operations Transformation Programme aligning with the Trust's broader goal of enhancing organisational performance, complying with regulatory requirements, and efficiently utilising resources for the best patient outcomes. Working for our organisation The Centralised Admin Operations Transformation Programme aims to create a cohesive, efficient, and forward-thinking administrative function. It seeks to break down silos, foster collaboration, and ensure a high degree of service delivery. The integration of the new electronic health record system is anticipated to significantly improve data quality management and reporting efficiency, leading to improved patient care outcomes. The programme also aligns with the Trust's broader goal of enhancing organisational performance, complying with regulatory requirements, and efficiently utilising resources for the best patient outcomes. This role is instrumental in leading this transformation, ensuring that the Trust's central administrative functions are future-ready, aligned with the implementation of Epic, and effectively support our overarching goal of delivering exceptional patient care. Detailed job description and main responsibilities The Associate Director of Delivery will report to the Director of Performance and Information and take the overall responsibility for the delivery of the Transformation Programme activities to support successful implementation. Any delays in the delivery of the activities would adversely affect the programme delivery so tight programme/performance management will be required of the post holder. This role is a key senior manager within the Epic post-Go-Live Team. The post holder will be responsible for setting the strategy for the activities and be accountable for the scope and delivery of these. The post holder will be managing, co-ordinating and leading multi-disciplinary teams whilst ensuring a consistent approach to the configuration and integration between all Epic and Apollo areas. This will involve providing guidance, ensuring compliance and authority around information standards and quality across the configuration teams and to the wider EHR Programme. The role will require the post holder to be confident in presenting highly complex information on the team’s progress to through Programme governance and other senior meetings, or to those which are significant in size, adapted in a way which makes it easy for the audience to understand. Using expert administrative, clinical and supplier knowledge to support and guide the teams in making appropriate decisions with regards to matching workflow transformation, with the modules either already built within Epic’s modules and/or configuring the Epic system using configuration tools to tailor the system to the Trust’s requirements, whilst still complying with national information standards. This will involve the Configuration teams working closely alongside Programme Deployment Team colleagues during the workflow/pathway transformation phase. Ensuring designated teams understand and comply with robust testing of the modules in accordance with approved testing methodologies and working closely with Epic. Ensuring designated system training teams understand and comply with robust system/workflow training of the configured Epic software The post holder will provide strategic direction in relation to optimisation and support of systems in line with the agreed standard operating processes, national initiatives during and beyond the Programme. The post holder will make a significant contribution to developing the digital maturity of the organisation through the successful delivery of the Epic and the re-engineering of business processes in conjunction with the service. Person specification Qualifications/Education Essential criteria Educated to Masters level or equivalent advanced experience in the delivery of organisational transformation Clinical or professional Experience relevant to the Area/Specialty of Programme Management / leadership qualification or evidence of structured leadership training Significant demonstrable experience of managing complex portfolios and programmes using MoP and MSP approaches Desirable criteria Prince II Practitioner (Current) Previous experience Essential criteria Strong track record with evidence of using technology in innovative ways to enhance business and service performance.
