About the Role
The Barback will provide prompt, courteous, and efficient food and beverage service in a luxury 5-star hotel bar/lounge where attention to detail is key. You will carry out specific tasks to ensure the smooth running of the bar, attend to all guest requests while anticipating their needs, and remain in the restaurant during service. Responsibilities include producing drink orders accurately and timely, assisting in all restaurant areas, maintaining a clean and stocked bar and fridges, preparing mise-en-place, glasses, and garnishes, and cleaning and vacuuming restaurant areas as directed. You will uphold high standards of personal hygiene and appearance, engage guests appropriately following Fairmont Standards, use guests' names when possible, and have full knowledge of the food and drinks menu to explain, recommend, and sell dishes. You will follow instructions from managers, attend briefings and departmental meetings, speak English at all times within the hotel, and proficiently use the Micros billing system.

Experience
1-3 years' experience in the Hospitality Industry.

Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal. Proven organizational skills and ability to work independently. Able to set and meet deadlines with quality results. Flexible and willing to multi-skill to meet the needs of guests and colleagues.

Qualifications
Good Micros system skills. Fluent English speaking ability. Commitment to maintaining high standards of service and personal presentation.
