About the Role
Join us in bringing the iconic Raffles experience to London at Raffles London at The OWO on Whitehall. This historic Grade II* Edwardian building has been transformed into a luxurious destination featuring fine dining, lively bars, wellness and beauty therapies, luxurious suites, and versatile event spaces. As a Chef de Rang, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service during the breakfast shift within Mauro Colagreco Restaurants, ensuring guests receive outstanding hospitality from arrival to departure. You will lead a station, manage commis waiters, maintain the station and restaurant standards, and act as the communication link between front of house and back of house teams. Supporting hostesses, baristas, and other team members when needed, you will also relay guest feedback and requests to management. Your role is key in upholding the brand’s commitment to excellence and creating memorable guest experiences.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the menu and all products served. Deliver food orders promptly and accurately with detailed explanations of each dish. Serve as the primary contact between front of house and back of house staff. Assist with table setting by placing appropriate tableware, utensils, and napkins. Engage guests professionally and knowledgeably about the dishes. Monitor guest needs by taking additional orders or refilling water as requested. Serve food orders and clear used dishes and utensils while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Communicate guest feedback and requests to restaurant staff. Commit to sustainable practices daily, focusing on waste management and responsible purchasing. Assume additional responsibilities in the absence of line managers or senior employees. Perform other duties as assigned, including working in different departments or restaurants as required.
Health and Safety
Report and rectify all potential and real hazards immediately. Be fully familiar with departmental Fire, Emergency, and Bomb procedures. Ensure the safety of all persons and property within the premises by adhering strictly to laws, statutes, and ordinances, anticipating hazards, and implementing preventative measures. Promote general awareness of Health and Safety in all departmental tasks and activities.
Experience
Proven track record of surprising and delighting guests with high levels of service under pressure. Experience working within a team environment and managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Enthusiastic and committed to delivering the best service and guest experiences in any situation. Detail-oriented with strong time management skills. Flexible and able to respond effectively to different work situations. Professional appearance and excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Qualifications
Essential: Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently in English. Demonstrated ability to work well within a team and maintain high standards of service.
Desirable: Previous experience in a luxury hotel environment working with LQA, Forbes 5* or equivalent standards.
