About the Role
Join the prestigious Raffles London at The OWO, a landmark Grade II* Edwardian building on Whitehall, where luxury, heritage, and extraordinary experiences come together. As a Goods Receiver, you will be responsible for the acceptance and handling of all incoming deliveries, ensuring all goods are accurately received, inspected, and processed through the Adaco Purchasing system. You will work closely with the Purchasing Assistant and various departments to guarantee the safe and secure receipt of beverage and store items.

Your duties will include inspecting deliveries for freshness, quality, and accuracy, refusing damaged or incorrect items, maintaining accurate inventory records, and assisting with stores, cellar, and purchasing activities as needed. You will also help maintain the loading bay and contribute to process improvements to enhance service levels. This role requires a proactive approach to goods receiving and occasional support across other departments or restaurants.

Health and safety are paramount; you will ensure all hazards are reported and addressed, be familiar with emergency procedures, and promote a culture of safety within the department. Experience
- Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently in English, both verbal and written.
- Experience in purchasing and confident interaction with suppliers.
- Knowledge of purchasing IT systems and market trends.
- Ability to take and maintain detailed and accurate records.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.

Qualifications
- Desirable: Recent experience in 5-star hotels or similar roles.
- Previous goods receiving, stores, or purchasing function experience is advantageous.
- Passion for food and beverage and understanding of the luxury sector.
- Appreciation for hospitality and UHNW customer service.
