About the Role
The Mercure & Ibis London Earls Court hotel is a newly renovated property in Southwest London, comprising 508 rooms across two distinct Accor brands: 282 Mercure rooms and 226 Ibis rooms. The London Suite, the main ballroom, is a versatile space divisible into nine meeting rooms and can host events up to 1,200 guests. The F&B outlets, created by PARIS SOCIETY, include Barnaby’s, ideal for social events with spaces that can be semi or fully privatized for groups, events, or additional catering and meeting needs.
The Sales Executive – Social Events & MICE is responsible for proactively developing new business opportunities across social events, private events, Barnaby's activations, MICE, agencies, associations, residential meetings, and event-led opportunities. The role focuses on generating new revenue by securing new business, developing existing accounts, and promoting Barnaby's as a destination for private hire, networking events, celebrations, brand activations, and social gatherings.
Working closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing, Senior Sales Manager, Corporate & Strategic Accounts Manager, and Sales Development & Marketing Executive, the Sales Executive will maximise revenue opportunities across all hotel departments. The role also supports sales administration, ensuring all sales activity, account information, and reporting are maintained to the highest standard.
Key responsibilities include presenting a professional and guest-centric image of the hotel, establishing positive relationships with guests and colleagues, and contributing to guest satisfaction by providing high-quality personalised service. The role involves identifying and converting new business opportunities, managing an agreed portfolio of accounts, building strong relationships with agencies and event planners, and supporting marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
The Sales Executive will also conduct client appointments, site inspections, presentations, and follow-up activities to maximise business conversion, attend networking and promotional events, produce accurate sales reports, maintain CRM systems, conduct market research, and stay informed on financial performance, sales strategy, competitor activity, and market trends. Domestic and international sales trips may be required.

Experience
Proven experience in sales, preferably within social events, MICE, or hospitality sectors is advantageous. Experience in managing client relationships and generating new business is essential.
