We foster a positive, supportive, fair, and inclusive culture that values diversity and challenges bias.
As a BD Advisor, you will support the delivery of the firm's Clients & Sectors strategy, working closely with the Head of Sector Cluster, BDM colleagues, and Sector Leaders to drive a focused and forward-looking Energy & Utilities sector strategy. This strategy aligns with firm-wide priorities and aims to grow profitable revenue through cross-selling and proactive client engagement informed by sector trends and opportunities.
You will collaborate with adjacent sectors such as Infrastructure and Private Capital to identify cross-sector opportunities and deliver coordinated client strategies. Key responsibilities include supporting sector-specific BD initiatives, managing CRM capabilities, developing sector BD materials, leveraging data insights for opportunity spotting and pipeline management, and facilitating sector communication and best practice sharing. You will also assist in the creation of compelling proposals and build trusted relationships with senior partners and client teams to support cross-selling and go-to-market objectives.
This role requires working in a complex, multi-matrix environment with many moving parts, demanding strong commercial awareness and the ability to bring together diverse stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
Experience
Experience in a BD or marketing role within legal or wider B2B services is essential. Knowledge of the Energy & Utilities sector, including traditional energy, power, utilities, renewables, and infrastructure, is beneficial. Proven track record in executing BD and cross-selling strategies, preferably with knowledge of legal services. Experience with CRM initiatives and data analysis to inform decision-making is required. Understanding of multi-matrix organizational structures is highly desirable.
About you
You are comfortable managing complexity and multiple priorities, with strong commercial awareness and an interest in market developments and industry trends.
