As a BIM Manager, you will report directly to the BIM Team Leader, with a secondary reporting line to the Technical Director. You will leverage your technical expertise to apply advanced BIM skills primarily supporting Defence & Local Government projects, complex commissions, and multi-disciplinary projects. You will collaborate with a UK-wide team of engineers delivering national and international projects ranging from small to very large scale.
Your role includes managing the BIM process on large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders, ensuring compliance with company and national BIM standards, and supporting the BIM Lead in refining strategies related to information management, quality assurance, process optimization, and HR management. You will also contribute to the development of company BIM policies and continuously review BIM-related software to develop business cases for new investments.

Experience
- Proven experience leading project delivery in a BIM environment
- Familiarity with implementing BIM accreditation/certification (ISO 19650) in a business setting
- Experience establishing and managing ISO 19650-compliant processes on projects
- Ability to train and support team members in BIM processes, protocols, and tools
- Experience in BIM coordination and management, including running coordination workshops to improve model quality
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry standards
- Proficient in Autodesk tools (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud)
- Skilled in BIM model federation, validation, quality audits, and clash detection using Navisworks Manage and Solibri Model Checker
- Experience with Common Data Environments (CDEs) such as Autodesk Construction Cloud and Bentley ProjectWise
- Experience supporting and implementing digital innovation
- Knowledge of NBS BIM Toolkit, Uniclassification, and information exchange formats such as COBie
- Experience with Dynamo and script writing skills desirable
- Experience with 4D/5D BIM applications and processes is advantageous
- Ability to manage competing demands and demonstrate resilience
- Self-motivated with the ability to develop and implement strategies and prioritise duties

Qualifications
- Degree and/or qualification in a relevant technical subject including elements of modelling (HND/HNC or equivalent)
- Engineering Technician status or equivalent through a recognised professional institution, with potential to convert to Incorporated status
- Substantial relevant experience in design, drafting, engineering, and BIM production
