About the Role
We are recruiting for a Brokerage and Tracking Officer to join the Children’s Services Directorate within the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. Careers Young Workpath provides Careers Information, Advice and Guidance, as well as Employability Support, to young people aged 13–19 (and up to 25 with an EHCP) across schools, colleges and community settings in Tower Hamlets. The aim is to help young people progress into education, employment and training.

In this role, you will be based primarily in our public office at Watney Market and other community locations. You will support young people by providing careers information, advice and employability support, making referrals to providers, and assisting with applications for jobs, apprenticeships, education and training. You will help young people overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and enable them to make effective transitions into adult life. Additionally, you will contribute to statutory tracking activities.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is an excellent communicator and a strong team player with outstanding interpersonal skills. You will be highly organised, able to prioritise competing demands, and manage a busy caseload effectively.

Requirements

Experience
- Experience in an Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) or job-placing environment.
- Experience working with vulnerable young people who are NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) or at risk of becoming NEET.
- Experience of partnership or multi-agency working.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment with an understanding of the barriers young people face in accessing opportunities.

About you
You will have a genuine interest in supporting young people in Tower Hamlets and helping them access education, apprenticeships, jobs and training. You should be self-motivated, an excellent communicator, and a strong team player with outstanding interpersonal skills. Being highly organised and able to prioritise competing demands while managing a busy caseload is essential.

Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in careers guidance, youth work, education or a related field would be advantageous but are not explicitly stated as mandatory for this role.
