About the Role
Are you an experienced Building Fabric Maintenance professional looking for your next challenge? Based in or around South West London, this role offers the opportunity to join Arcus FM's facilities maintenance team as a skilled and reliable Fabric Specialist. You will deliver high-quality planned and reactive maintenance services across a portfolio of multi-site clients.
As an Arcus Building Fabric Specialist, you will work across multiple client sites ensuring facilities are safe, fully functional, and well-maintained. This mobile role offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to showcase your expertise in a range of building fabric tasks.
Your responsibilities will include delivering effective repairs and maintenance to a high standard, responding promptly and professionally to reactive issues, maintaining clear documentation using handheld IT systems, and supporting customer satisfaction through excellent service delivery.

Experience
- Time-served, hands-on experience in multiple trades, ideally within fabric maintenance
- Experience working independently and in customer-facing environments
- Comfortable using handheld IT equipment for work management and documentation
- Solid knowledge of health & safety standards

- Confident working across a variety of building fabric disciplines
- Able to respond promptly and professionally to reactive maintenance issues
Qualifications
- NVQ, City & Guilds, BTEC, or equivalent qualifications in a relevant trade
- Valid UK driver's licence
Desirable
- Experience in retail or multi-site maintenance environments
Core trade skills include
- Patch plastering and rendering
- Carpentry and joinery
- Floor and wall coverings (tiling, vinyl etc.)
- Basic plumbing
- Changing locks and fittings
- General fabric repairs
While expertise in every area is not required, solid practical experience across multiple disciplines is essential.
