About the Role
We are recruiting two technically qualified Building Surveyors to join our Repairs Operations team supporting homes across North-East London. In this varied and hands-on role, you will manage a complex caseload of repairs and defects, carrying out technical surveys, inspections, and detailed specifications. You will lead on specialist and statutory cases including damp and mould, disrepair, Environmental Health notices, and Housing Ombudsman enquiries. You will oversee contractor performance using Schedule of Rates (SOR), challenge over-coding, and ensure value-for-money outcomes. Providing clear, professional technical advice and recommendations to residents, colleagues, and stakeholders will be key, alongside working closely with contractors and internal teams to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to standard. You will keep residents informed throughout each case with clear, empathetic, and timely communication and support local engagement by attending resident forums across North-East London.
This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference to residents’ homes by ensuring properties are safe, well maintained, and compliant, delivering a high-quality, resident-focused surveying service in a social housing environment.
