About the Role
Are you passionate about designing robust, trusted data foundations that enable better decision-making and innovation? As a Data Architect at Peabody, you will lead the definition and evolution of our enterprise data architecture, ensuring it supports high-quality data products, integration, and ethical data use across the organisation. This is a strategic, hands-on role where your architectural expertise will influence how data is structured, governed, and reused across platforms. You will work closely with Data Engineers, Product Teams, Data Governance, and Solutions Architects to ensure consistency across application, integration, and data layers, while enabling scalable analytics and advanced use cases.

Your key responsibilities will include defining and maintaining enterprise data architecture across analytical and operational use cases; designing and governing conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned to business needs; setting and promoting data modelling standards such as Dimensional, 3NF, and Data Vault across domains; guiding integration of internal and third-party data into the Azure data platform using the Medallion architecture; providing architectural assurance for data products, analytics, and AI/ML initiatives; co-owning metadata strategy including lineage, cataloguing, and business glossary alignment; supporting data ownership and governance models to improve quality, compliance, and trust; collaborating with Solutions Architecture and Platform Engineering on roadmap and reuse decisions; evaluating emerging tools and architectural patterns to keep the platform modern and cost-effective; and ensuring architecture enables ethical, secure, and high-quality use of data.

Joining Peabody means becoming part of a team guided by values such as Be Kind, Do the Right Thing, Love New Ideas, Celebrate Diversity, Keep Our Promises, and Pull Together. We are building data as a strategic capability and investing in strong foundations that enable innovation and insight.

What we offer includes 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays, two paid volunteering days each year, a flexible benefits scheme and employee discount portal, life assurance at 4x your salary, and up to 10% pension contribution.
