Location
London Borough of Islington, initially based at the Brewery Road site with future flexibility to work from the 222 offices. This role offers a modern, hybrid working environment combining office-based and home working arrangements.

Hours
Fixed-term contract, 35 hours per week. Shift pattern Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm, with some Saturday shifts from 8am to noon. There is no requirement to work every weekend. A shift allowance of 1.5 times the standard pay rate applies for qualifying hours.

£38,637 per annum

About the Role
Join Islington Council’s newly consolidated Contact Centre, which merges the Repairs and Access Islington teams to provide a streamlined, efficient service to residents. You will be a key point of contact, responding to a wide range of enquiries about repairs and council services. The role requires empathy, professionalism, and the ability to support residents who may be distressed or in urgent need. You will document calls accurately, collaborate with colleagues to resolve complex issues, and uphold confidentiality and respect in all interactions. Requirements

Experience
Previous call centre experience is beneficial but not essential. A willingness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment is crucial.
