Camden Learning: School Inclusion Team Administrative Officer – Part Time Salary: £27,664 Job Level: Camden Learning Terms (Zone 2 Level 2) Location: 5 Pancras Square, London, N1C 4AG Hours per week: 28.4 hours (4 days) per week Contract type: Fixed Term contract until July 2025 Closing date: Wednesday 31st July 2024 at 23:59 Interviews to be held: Week commencing 5th August 2024 Flexible working arrangements will be considered ** This is a Camden Learning job and not a Camden Council job ** About Camden Learning Camden Learning is a local education partnership established in 2017 and jointly owned by Camden Council and Camden’s schools. A company limited by guarantee, it was created for the benefit of all our children and schools, with a core focus on school improvement. We have made good progress in building Camden Learning and developing greater capacity locally for a school-led system. We have a strong relationship with schools and have worked closely with leaders to put the architecture in place to provide stronger and more creative connections between them. Working closely with Camden Council, Camden Learning supports the delivery of Building Back Stronger, which is the Council’s education strategy. This includes working with schools to improve behaviour, reduce the need to use suspensions and exclusions and improve attendance. What You’ll Be Doing / How You’ll Be Involved School Inclusion Team’s role is to support Schools and Families with to access education, for pupils who are excluded or cannot access education for various reasons. Our Administrative Officer provides essential day to day support with logging exclusions, paying invoices and preparing papers for our various panels. You will liaise with head teachers and senior leaders in Camden Schools as well professionals from the local authority and partner organisations. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS. Please note Camden also offers the DBS update service. You are motivated to ensure the systems work smoothly. You have excellent IT skills and an eye for detail. You are curious about finding solutions. You have an awareness of education legislation regarding exclusions. You seek out efficiency and aim to slim line processes. You are committed to improving the lives of young people. You are able to use IT software. You have some knowledge of producing data reports. You have good interpersonal skills and enjoy working as part of a team.
