You will support children and families through the assessment process, up to co-producing step-down, Child in Need and Child Protection plans. Previous experience of Section 47 investigations and child and family assessments is desirable.

At Tower Hamlets, we believe the best place for children is within their own families, immediate or wider, wherever it is safe and appropriate. We are committed to building relationships and strengthening families by working compassionately and with understanding. Our Better Together Practice Framework is based on Restorative Practice and draws from strength-based approaches such as Systemic and Trauma Informed Practice.

Our C-Change approach: Connect, Curious, Community, Co-Produce, Collaborate, Check, sets out the “6 Cs” for our work with children, young people, their parents and carers, and each other.
