About the Role
Passionate about inspiring young people? Join us in inspiring the lively little learners at Harris Primary Free School Peckham as a Class Teacher. Our dedicated team provides a supportive network both onsite and across the Federation to ensure all staff feel encouraged to do their best. You will be part of a community of dedicated, friendly staff committed to creating and maintaining a supportive and thriving learning environment.
Harris Primary Free School Peckham opened in 2012 with reception students and has grown by a year group each year. By growing steadily, we are able to give every one of our 330 children a great deal of personal attention. We have a superb team of teachers and support staff, all experts in primary education. Alongside helping pupils become confident readers, writers, and mathematicians, we ensure a range of music, drama, and sporting opportunities as pupils progress through the school.
We look for talented individuals who want to be part of transforming education in London and helping create exceptional places of learning. You will have regard to the curriculum and promote the development of pupils’ abilities and aptitudes, plan and prepare courses and lessons, teach according to pupils’ educational needs, set and mark work, assess and report on pupil progress, and contribute to the wider life of the academy. You will disseminate high quality teaching pedagogy to secure consistently good or outstanding teaching and learning, maintain a dynamic and inspiring learning environment, and be innovative, highly motivated, and eager with good interpersonal skills to work well as part of a team.
We are committed to ongoing professional development and offer a strong culture of collaboration, coaching, mentoring, and a wide range of top-quality training programmes at every level, including senior leadership. In addition to career progression opportunities, we offer a competitive rewards and benefits package including the Harris Allowance, Performance and Loyalty Bonus, Pension Scheme, Wellbeing Cash Plan, and many other benefits.
The Harris Federation and all our academies are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All offers of employment are subject to an Enhanced DBS check, references, and where applicable, a prohibition from teaching check.
