About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Clinical Research Practitioner to join the Paediatric Haemophilia team at Evelina London Children’s Hospital. The post holder will support the delivery and coordination of clinical research studies, working closely with research participants and their families as well as clinical, research and multidisciplinary teams. The role involves supporting participants throughout their research journey and contributing to the safe, effective and high-quality delivery of research within the service. The Clinical Research Practitioner will coordinate and deliver a portfolio of clinical research studies within Paediatric Haemophilia, ensuring research is conducted in accordance with study protocols and regulatory requirements. This includes coordinating study-related care and participant visits, supporting recruitment and enrolment, and undertaking study-related clinical activities within competencies. Experience
- Experience working in a relevant research setting
- Experience working independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in a patient/participant facing role with clinical duties
- Experience working on interventional studies or complex/large scale observational studies
- Desirable: Experience with electronic case report forms and computer packages, supervising others, and clinical trials of drugs, therapies or interventions

Qualifications
- Degree in life sciences or related field or equivalent theoretical knowledge
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- GCP certification
- Desirable: Relevant course to clinical area, membership of NIHR CRP directory

Skills / Knowledge / Ability
- Able to conduct clinical tasks such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse and respiratory observations
- Able to collect blood samples via venepuncture
- Ability to acquire skills in cannulation, serial sampling, processing biologic samples according to protocols, and conducting ECG
- IT skills including database management, Microsoft Office, Excel and eRecord
- Desirable: Presentation and teaching skills, ability to manage priorities for others
