About the Role
Make a meaningful impact every day by joining Jewish Care’s Community Services Team as a Community Dementia Coordinator. In this multi-site role, you will lead and coordinate a wide range of meaningful dementia programmes including Memory Way Cafés, Singing for Memory, Art for the Mind, Movement for Memory, Professional Gentlemen’s Club, and Young Onset Dementia Coffee Mornings. You will support and manage a team of Community Dementia Assistants, work closely with volunteers, and collaborate with community partners to ensure high-quality delivery of services. Additionally, you will develop new community initiatives, organise larger dementia-friendly events, and act as a dementia ambassador to raise awareness and promote best practice. This role involves travel across multiple locations and offers the opportunity to shape and expand dementia support within the Jewish community.

Experience
- Experience in a community-based role, ideally supporting older people or those living with dementia
- Strong understanding of dementia and the challenges faced by individuals and families

- Knowledge of the Jewish community, its culture, observance, and traditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, compassion, and respect
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities, able to manage multiple programmes and meet deadlines
- Ability to support, lead, and collaborate effectively with staff and volunteers
- Confident, calm, and solution-focused in challenging situations
- Positive, proactive, team-focused approach, committed to high-quality, person-centred support
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and clear boundaries

Qualifications
- High level of IT literacy, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems
