Location
Cardfields Residential Outdoor Centre, Essex. Approximately 40 minutes from London Liverpool Street by train. Easily accessible by car or coach. The site is surrounded by attractions such as Colchester Castle, Colchester Zoo, the River Chelmer, and Marsh Farm.

Hours
Permanent position with flexible working hours, including the possibility of weekends as required.

Salary
£36,363 per annum

About the Role
Cardfields is a busy residential outdoor centre providing recreational and outdoor educational experiences for schools and community groups. We pride ourselves on serving high-quality, fresh meals using produce grown in our gardens. As a Cook, you will prepare and cook dishes according to our menu standards, maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in the kitchen, and work efficiently under pressure during busy service times. You will be part of a passionate team dedicated to creating an amazing experience for children, young people, and adults from diverse communities across Islington and other boroughs. The role is based in a beautiful rural setting, offering a unique working environment away from London.

Experience
Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment is essential.

Passionate about cooking and delivering high-quality meals. Strong attention to detail with a "can-do" attitude. Flexible and adaptable to business needs. Able to work efficiently under pressure and maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety. Ability to budget and control portions effectively. Qualifications
