About the Role
Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. As a subject matter expert, you will drive best‑in‑class PMO and project controls, strengthening Mace’s profile and client confidence. The Cost Engineer delivers robust cost management across PMO or delivery teams, coordinating stakeholders and ensuring compliant operations.

You will be responsible for delivering accurate cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting; supporting full budget, scope, change control and earned value analysis; coordinating with scheduling, commercial, construction and finance teams; assuring monthly cost data and variance analysis; driving forecast and budget accuracy; producing clear cost reports; applying strong cost and contract management; and building effective client and partner relationships.

This role is based in London but requires flexibility for travel across the UK as needed.

Experience
Proven relevant experience in a project management or project controls environment in a similar cost role within construction or consultancy. Experience in a regulated infrastructure sector is essential.
