About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to build an understanding of the railway industry from both an operator and Network Rail perspective. Based in the Eastern Region, you will work closely with the newly established Anglia Railways. We offer a hybrid working arrangement and welcome applications from all candidates.
As a Customer Manager, you will act as the key interface and expert with the customer for all contractual issues. You will develop and maintain effective working relationships to meet Network Rail's business objectives, maximise income through performance regimes, identify opportunities for business expansion, and minimise contractual payments.
Key responsibilities include managing the contractual relationship on all issues such as performance, access conditions, agreements, invoicing, and claims; acting as arbitrator to resolve disputes while maintaining customer relationships; communicating and challenging within and outside Network Rail to ensure contractual rights are met; managing Joint Performance Improvement Plans (JPIPs); leading negotiations on changes to Track Access Contracts; overseeing contractual performance regimes; ensuring compliance with contractual agreements; delivering income streams; assisting the Customer Relationship Executive; and identifying and delivering improvement projects for both the customer and Network Rail.

Experience
Significant experience in a commercial environment with substantial experience managing contractual relationships. Proven ability to negotiate in complex commercial settings. Knowledge of relevant contracts and contractual environments is essential.

Qualifications
Qualified to degree level or equivalent. Applicants must provide proof of essential qualifications and/or competencies or demonstrate active progress toward obtaining them, or evidence applicable experience as a condition of employment.
