About the Role
Camden Council is committed to building a borough where everyone can thrive by making it the best place to live, work, study and visit. As part of this vision, we are advancing an ambitious data strategy to become a centre of excellence for data, ensuring that data is used transparently, securely, ethically, and for public good.
As a Data Governance Manager, you will lead the implementation of practical data governance solutions that support organisational needs. You will identify opportunities and make recommendations to improve the quality and trustworthiness of data across Camden Council.
You will collaborate closely with Information Asset Owners, Data Stewards, and Data Analysts across all services to assess the current state of data maturity. Using these insights, you will apply data governance measures to optimise data safety and value throughout its lifecycle, minimise data risks, and enhance data literacy within services.
Camden’s Data Charter, developed in partnership with residents, community groups, and partners, guides our approach to managing data responsibly and inclusively, helping to address complex social issues without bias or preconceptions.
We offer opportunities to learn more about the role through open house events and provide a supportive and inclusive working environment where diversity is valued and encouraged.

Proven experience in data governance or data management roles, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
