About the Role
Linklaters is a global law firm operating in 20 countries with 30 offices worldwide. We pride ourselves on being a people business, where exceptional talent thrives in a collaborative, innovative, efficient, agile, entrepreneurial, and responsible environment. We foster a positive, supportive, fair, and inclusive atmosphere that values diversity and challenges bias, enabling us to work as one team with a shared goal.
As a Data Governance Specialist, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing application of data governance across Salesforce, focusing on entity data, non-D&B derived entity records (such as SPVs, billing entities, and non-standard hierarchy linkages), and sector and geographic reference data.
You will act as the Salesforce data governance subject matter expert, contributing to future Salesforce enhancements driven by data cleaning, AI-related downstream processes, system integrations, and new Salesforce releases. You will serve as the primary liaison from a data governance perspective with Dunn and Bradstreet for data quality resolution and development of D&B data use and linkage to entity data from LSEG. Similarly, you will liaise with LSEG to align entity and reference data across datasets and structures.
Your role includes directing cleaning and maintenance of critical data elements within live systems according to agreed data governance standards, supporting the Data Governance and Data Operations teams to ensure standards are applied across bulk uploads and core data administration. You will collaborate closely with Marketing and the Data Privacy team to ensure contact data governance rules and policies are developed and recorded in Salesforce, though you will not act as a contact data owner or administrator.
As the Salesforce data governance SME, you will provide system development input for Salesforce and related systems, including aligning current CUP and GUP functionality and data with improvements such as SPV entity design and linkage of LSEG shareholder data to D&B entities. You will supervise FTE resources and support Salesforce entity data cleaning and related cleaning in other relevant systems to ensure alignment.
You will directly undertake smaller ongoing entity-related cleaning tasks within Salesforce and other systems as needed and work across other core systems with training provided. This role requires a proactive approach and the ability to work within a global team across time zones.
