About the Role
Linklaters is a global law firm operating in 20 countries through 30 offices. We pride ourselves on being a people business, where exceptional talent thrives in a collaborative, innovative, efficient, agile, entrepreneurial, and responsible environment. We foster a positive, supportive, fair, and inclusive atmosphere that values diversity and challenges bias.

We are seeking an experienced eBilling Manager to join our Centre of Excellence (CoE) Revenue Lifecycle team on a permanent basis. You will lead the delivery of our global eBilling service, overseeing operational delivery, client onboarding, issue management, performance, and continuous improvement across our London and Warsaw offices.

In this role, you will lead a geographically dispersed team and collaborate closely with Revenue, Client Finance, Pricing, Technology, Legal & Risk, and client relationship stakeholders to ensure consistent standards, clear ownership, and a high-quality global service.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead and take ownership of the global eBilling service and operating model, ensuring clear priorities, consistent service standards, and effective delivery across London and Warsaw.
- Oversee accurate and timely submission of electronic invoices, including rejection management, resubmissions, billing schedules, platform administration, timekeeper and rate uploads, and associated records.
- Manage end-to-end onboarding and setup of clients onto eBilling platforms, ensuring requirements, configurations, mappings, testing, approvals, and go-live activities are effectively controlled.
- Act as the senior point of contact for complex eBilling matters and client escalations, working with key stakeholders to resolve issues and provide clear, practical guidance.
- Define and oversee service levels, KPIs, and reporting, using performance data, trend analysis, and root-cause analysis to identify issues and drive sustained improvements.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, partnering with Technology and Finance transformation teams to enhance processes, automation, platform integrations, and management information.
- Manage capacity and resources across business-as-usual activities, client onboarding, backlogs, peak periods, and improvement initiatives, ensuring operational resilience and contingency arrangements.
- Lead, coach, and develop the eBilling team, fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing culture through clear objectives, performance management, career development, succession planning, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

Experience
- Substantial eBilling experience within a global law firm, professional services organisation, or similarly complex client billing environment.
- Proven experience leading and developing teams with responsibility for delivering a business-critical operational service across multiple locations or functions.
- Strong technical knowledge of eBilling platforms, broker portals, electronic invoice formats, client billing requirements, onboarding processes, and rejection resolution.
- Excellent stakeholder and client management skills, with experience managing complex relationships, senior-level discussions, and service escalations.
- Demonstrable experience improving processes, controls, and operational performance through data analysis, root-cause analysis, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Strong understanding of legal finance and the interaction between eBilling, Revenue, Billing, Pricing, and Client Finance.
- Proficient reporting and Excel skills; experience with SAP, workflow, automation, and data visualisation tools is advantageous.

About you
You are a collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and values inclusivity and diversity. You have excellent communication skills and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships effectively. You are proactive in driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications
Relevant qualifications or certifications in finance, billing, or related fields are desirable but not mandatory. A strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn new systems and processes are essential.
