About the Role
Are you an experienced professional ready to take the next step into a leadership role where you can make a real impact? We are looking for a motivated and skilled Deputy Team Manager to join the Islington Learning Disabilities Partnership (ILDP), supporting the delivery of high-quality, person-centred and strength-based services to adults with learning disabilities.

This is more than a management role – it is an opportunity to influence and shape practice in a complex service where your leadership will directly impact outcomes for residents with complex needs. You will be supported to grow, innovate, and lead within a borough committed to tackling inequality, investing in its workforce, and delivering meaningful change.

As Deputy Team Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Team Manager with the day-to-day operational leadership of the team. You will oversee workload allocation, provide supervision and professional support to staff, and ensure high-quality assessments and interventions in line with the Care Act. You will take a lead on complex casework, including safeguarding, Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, CHC and Section 117 responsibilities. You will also contribute to service development, performance management, and partnership working across health and social care.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking, multi-disciplinary service committed to improving outcomes, promoting independence, and delivering excellent care within a strong statutory framework.

ILDP is committed to delivering strengths-based, person-centred services that promote independence, choice, and rights for people with learning disabilities and their carers. The team values professionalism, innovation, and continuous improvement, and you will play a key role in shaping and developing the service.

Islington Council is dedicated to challenging inequality and creating a more equal borough. We live by our CARE values: collaborative, ambitious, resourceful, and empowering, which guide us in everything we do.
