We are seeking a Design Manager with experience in the Defence or Technology sectors to join the Design Project Management team within the Arcadis Places Design Practice. This role involves working closely with design teams (both internal and external) to ensure client scope is met while balancing budget, resources, and timescales. You will engage positively with clients and stakeholders and collaborate closely with the Arcadis Project Manager.

Key responsibilities include facilitating meetings and workshops, identifying design and project risks throughout the project lifecycle, coordinating design activities with procurement, planning, environmental, construction, and operations teams, and providing clear direction to ensure project success.

Experience
Previous experience within the Defence and/or Technology sectors is desirable. Experience in Design Management within a Client or Consultancy environment is preferred. Knowledge and experience of BIM-led design and Autodesk suite of products is essential.

About you
You will have strong interpersonal and influencing skills to support successful outcomes, the ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities, and a focus on integration, stakeholder, and communication management. Excellent written English and technical report writing skills are essential.

Qualifications
BA/BSc/BEng or MA/MSc/MEng or equivalent in a relevant discipline. Chartered or equivalent professional accreditation is recommended. Understanding of project management concepts, tools, and techniques is required, along with awareness of programme software applications.
