About the Role
Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. As a Digital Engineering and BIM Manager, you will support clients and Project Teams by developing and maintaining information requirements and standards, managing processes within a common data environment, and leading the delivery of the information management function throughout the project lifecycle.

You will be responsible for supporting Delivery Teams, communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders, delegating tasks to ensure effective completion, and developing BIM Execution Plans (BEP). You will maintain a strong understanding of ISO 19650 and other applicable standards, ensure security protocols are followed for information viewing and issuing, and implement governance and assurance processes.

Additional responsibilities include monitoring digital handover to project completion, producing information requirements (OIR, AIR, PIR, EIR) per ISO 19650, developing information standards, methods, procedures, and shared resources, and supporting the delivery of all Mace process and procedure guides. You will also contribute to object library development aligned with the wider BIM Strategy, perform assurance and checking of the Information Model, and support production of the information model (pre-RIBA Stage 3).

You will review current technology solutions, research emerging technologies to improve BIM processes, stay updated on classification developments, support construction sequencing strategies using information models, and assist the Mace Cost team in preparing cost plans from information models. Providing training on databases, data analysis, template creation, assurance, COBie production, and other BIM-related topics will also be part of your role.

Understanding and performing in line with the Information Management assignment matrix (Table A.1 of BS EN ISO 19650-2), setting up processes and tools for Common Data Environments (CDEs), and upskilling client teams, Mace project managers, and design teams through BIM knowledge sharing sessions are key aspects of this role. Collaboration with Mace PM and Design teams on procedural elements and compliance with the Mace Way is essential.

Mace values safety, client focus, integrity, and creating opportunities for people to excel. We champion a safe, diverse, and inclusive working environment and support wellbeing in every team. We encourage continuous improvement and inspire our people to develop professionally.

Mace is an inclusive employer welcoming candidates from diverse backgrounds. We encourage applications even if you do not meet all criteria, as you may be the best fit for this or other roles. Flexible, part-time, and hybrid working options may be considered where suitable.

You are an effective communicator able to engage with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders. You have strong leadership skills to delegate tasks and ensure their effective completion.
