About the Role
We have an exciting and engaging role for a Digital Skills Tutor at Jewish Care Explore. Our mission is to ensure that older and disabled people have the opportunity and knowledge to engage with mainstream technology and benefit from all it offers. In the digital age, technology enhances social connections and increases participation in society and cultural life.

The Digital Skills Tutor will provide operational coordination of the Jewish Care Explore centre based in North West London, the outreach programme, and front-line training services. This fixed-term role is for 18 months.

Key responsibilities include offering digital tutoring support to members, delivering training programs to individuals and groups, contributing to the planning and development of a core syllabus and learning program, delivering Train-the-Trainers sessions for staff and volunteers, planning and creating basic ICT skills assessment tools, monitoring and measuring members’ progress, working with volunteers to run outreach programs, adapting ICT training to meet members’ needs, and creating links with other organisations to provide services and support.

Requirements

Experience
Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in training and health and social care. Experience providing training or developing activities for older and disabled people is essential.

About you
A competent and enthusiastic ICT user, confident with PCs, tablets, and mobile devices including applications such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp, and Facetime. Knowledgeable and interested in the potential of digital technology to transform lives of older and disabled people. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate positively and non-discriminatorily to people from diverse backgrounds, motivating and empathising with them. A passion for inclusion and a strong commitment to the inclusion of older and disabled people in all aspects of life. Empathy to understand and embody the Jewish Care value of meaningful lives in all work.

Qualifications
Relevant qualification in training, health, or social care or equivalent experience.
