About the Role
Join WPS as a Disrepair Manager and take the lead on delivering end-to-end disrepair programmes for a local authority. You will play a key role in improving residents' homes while ensuring works are completed efficiently, compliantly, and to a high standard. Responsibilities include delivering disrepair programmes within agreed SLAs, acting as the main liaison between the council, contractors, and stakeholders, reviewing claims and accurately scoping works from survey reports, managing contractors to ensure timely, safe, and quality delivery, and driving key performance indicators such as turnaround times, first-time fix, and customer satisfaction. You will oversee pre and post inspections to ensure compliance and sign-off standards, support legal processes including pre-action protocols and joint inspections, ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, CDM regulations, and council policies, manage budgets for cost-efficient delivery, maintain clear documentation and provide regular client reports, engage with residents to manage expectations and resolve complaints, and identify improvements to reduce repeat defects and future claims.
Experience
Experience in disrepair or housing maintenance management is essential.

Strong knowledge of housing compliance and regulations. Confident in managing contractors and stakeholders. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Commercial awareness with a focus on quality outcomes.
Qualifications
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) - mandatory. Full UK Driving Licence - required.
