About the Role
Join WPS as a Disrepair Manager and take the lead on delivering end-to-end disrepair programmes for a local authority. You will play a key role in improving residents' homes while ensuring works are completed efficiently, compliantly, and to a high standard. This role involves managing contractors, liaising with councils and stakeholders, and driving key performance indicators such as turnaround times, first-time fix rates, and customer satisfaction. You will oversee inspections, support legal processes, ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, manage budgets, maintain documentation, and engage with residents to manage expectations and resolve complaints. Additionally, you will identify improvements to reduce repeat defects and future claims, contributing to the overall quality and efficiency of housing maintenance services.
Experience
- Proven experience in disrepair or housing maintenance management
- Strong knowledge of housing compliance and regulations
- Confident in managing contractors and stakeholders
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Commercial awareness with a focus on quality outcomes
