About the Role
As a Legal Disrepair Works Manager reporting directly to the Disrepair Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our Legal Disrepair cases are delivered to the highest standards. You will bring strong surveying expertise and a proven ability to balance technical knowledge with excellent interpersonal skills. Whether working independently or as part of a team, you will be trusted to oversee the full lifecycle of planned repairs—making sure every project meets our quality benchmarks and compliance requirements.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include working off Scott Schedules and collaborating closely with contractors and Legal staff, from scoping works on-site to conducting thorough inspections before, during, and after repairs. You will be the driving force behind quality assurance, proactively identifying and resolving any issues to keep projects on track and within agreed timescales. With a keen eye for detail, you will also manage authorisations for payments and expenditure, always upholding our commitment to health and safety throughout every stage of the process.
You will be required to update a tracker of all your cases regularly, record any issues preventing works from being carried out, and highlight any delays.

Experience
Extensive experience supervising contractors within social housing, comfortable operating in high-volume maintenance or void environments. Proven ability to produce clear, precise technical reports for a range of audiences.
About you
You bring a blend of excellent technical knowledge and strong interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work both independently and as part of a team. You keep your understanding of health and safety responsibilities up to date and ideally hold an IOSH Managing Safely qualification. Familiarity with employment law, health and safety policies, and quality assurance systems is important. You are adept at managing scopes, conducting health and safety checks, overseeing handovers, and using data systems to check quotes, approve variations, and track work progress. Strong planning and organisational skills and confidence using IT systems, particularly Excel and Microsoft Office, are essential. A full UK driving licence is required.
Qualifications
IOSH Managing Safely qualification is desirable. A full UK driving licence is essential.
