About the Role
The Editor of Accountancy Age will manage all aspects of content production for Informa TechTarget’s UK and European finance and accounting professional audience. This role involves producing and managing news, analysis, in-depth and multimedia content, as well as sourcing contributions from external experts. The editor will stay current with accounting and finance trends and maintain strong connections with professionals, companies, key suppliers, experts, and analysts in the sector. Responsibilities include researching, writing, and commissioning content for AccountancyAge.com, including industry trend articles, news, case studies, and analysis relevant to finance and accounting professionals in the UK and Europe. The editor will maximize audience engagement through newsletters, search engine and AI optimization techniques, traffic analysis, social media, and third-party channels. Additional duties include line managing a full-time reporter, managing key editorial programmes and events such as “35 under 35” and “50 plus 50”, collaborating with international editorial and marketing teams, and representing the brand at conferences and events. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance journalist to step into an editor role at a well-established and respected brand in the market.

Experience
Extensive experience writing for an audience of accounting and finance professionals. Proven track record in a senior editorial role within accounting, finance, or business media is highly desirable.

Excellent leadership skills with experience in managing, coaching, and mentoring editorial teams. Ability to develop and execute content strategies, leverage SEO and AI optimization techniques, and engage audiences across multiple platforms. Qualifications
Relevant editorial or journalism qualifications are advantageous but not mandatory. A demonstrated ability to lead a respected finance and accounting publication and deliver high-quality, engaging content is essential.
