Salary
£41,818.21 per annum with an additional 5% basic salary for shift and weekend work, plus £3,000 per annum in allowances
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Electrician to join our Facilities Maintenance Team at HMP Pentonville, a category B/C male prison. You will be part of a supportive and driven team working Monday to Sunday to maintain a safe and secure environment. HMP Pentonville operates like a self-contained city, and the Facilities Maintenance Team plays a vital role in ensuring smooth and safe operations that impact prisoners, employees, visitors, and the wider community.
As an Electrician, you will work alongside experienced colleagues including plumbers, carpenters, painters, cleaners, and administrators, all committed to making a positive difference. This role offers the opportunity to use your skills to contribute to rehabilitation and positive change within the prison environment.

Experience
- Minimum two years' experience as an electrician
- Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems
- Good working knowledge of planned preventive maintenance operations

Qualifications
- Qualified Electrician to C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation)
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Certificate in BS7671
