About the Role
The Savoy is one of the world's most iconic hotels, renowned for outstanding service excellence since 1889. As an Evening Floor Supervisor within the Housekeeping department, you will support the housekeeping leadership to ensure consistency and excellence in service standards. Your role is pivotal in driving quality through the support, development, and training of guest servicing agents and HOH porters. You will take ownership of showcasing our rooms and public areas, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, and ensuring the seamless running of the housekeeping department alongside leadership.
You will supervise daily operations including opening and closing the department, assigning tasks, conducting room inspections and audits, running handover meetings, and managing administration tasks such as rotas and attendance records. Building strong relationships with other hotel teams and working closely with leadership to coach colleagues will be key to your success. You will also handle guest requests with care and discretion, report maintenance issues, and ensure all public areas are clean, tidy, and fully stocked. Your proactive approach will help personalise the guest experience and uphold The Savoy’s five-star luxury hospitality standards.
Experience
3 – 5 years’ experience within a luxury hospitality environment is essential. Prior supervisory experience and exposure to multiple housekeeping functions such as laundry, administration, and team leadership are desirable.
About you
You are warm, enthusiastic, and positive with the ability to build trusting relationships. You can prioritise and organise effectively, meeting deadlines with quality results. You work well under pressure and at high speed, are physically fit with frequent reaching, standing, and walking. A ‘can do’ attitude, adaptability to change, problem-solving skills, and outstanding communication abilities (both written and spoken) are required. Honesty, integrity, a hands-on approach, and full flexibility in working hours, especially evenings and weekends, are essential.
Qualifications
While specific qualifications are not listed, the role requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to train and develop colleagues. Flexibility and multi-skilling are important as you may be asked to perform various tasks to meet guest and colleague needs.
