About the Role
Wonderful, exciting opportunity for an experienced Systemic Therapist Practitioner to join our Staying Together Team. This role requires at least 3 years post-qualifying experience as a systemic Therapist Practitioner. You will provide one-to-one clinical case supervision to Staying Together practitioners and hold joint cases, offering Family Therapy support to 5-7 families at a time who are open to Children’s Social Care under either a CIN or CP plan over a 3–5-month period, including at least one home visit per week. You will attend CIN meetings, Core group meetings, CP Conferences, LAC reviews, strategy meetings, professional meetings, and other relevant meetings.
You will provide a systemic perspective during case consultations to social workers, ATM’s, TM’s, and Staying Together practitioners, particularly in complex cases or where workers feel “stuck.” This role supports our commitment to preventing young people from entering care by empowering families, building relationships, and providing practical and emotional support to help families develop skills, confidence, and resilience to avoid breakdown and achieve their aspirations.
The role involves working within a supported practice environment that respectfully challenges and enables you to use your professional judgement, autonomy, experience, knowledge, and skills. These are key aspects of our Signs of Safety practice model used when working with children, families, and the wider professional network.
Bexley is a vibrant and diverse outer London Borough nestled in the Thames Gateway between London and Kent, combining the perfect blend of city vibe and Kent’s tranquillity.
