About the Role
HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is responsible for the administration of criminal, civil and family courts and tribunals in England and Wales. We support service users and colleagues in delivering justice that can be life-changing. As a Finance Officer within the Management Accounts Team (MAT), you will support the month-end reporting cycle, ensuring timely and accurate financial information is produced. You will collaborate closely with finance and operational colleagues to support key financial processes and deliver management information.

You will maintain, develop and improve transaction processes and reports to ensure postings to HMCTS accounts are accurate, robust and compliant. This role offers extensive professional development opportunities through the Government Finance Function, supporting both your current role and future career progression.

Requirements

Experience
- Experience in finance is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
- Knowledge of month-end activities, Oracle Financials (Hyperion), Smartview, Excel and PowerBi is advantageous.
- Customer service experience with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver quality service.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, including remote colleagues.

Qualifications
- AAT qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
