About the Role
Salesforce is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join our Public Sector team. As a Technical Builder, you will embed in a cross-functional builder pod that designs, builds, and deploys agentic AI solutions for Fortune 500 customers. This role involves product engineering with real customer impact, not just configuration work. From day one, your code will run in production environments where the stakes are high.

You will ship AI-powered development solutions using cutting-edge tools such as Cursor, Claude, and Salesforce coding products like Vibes. Working alongside Senior Technical Builders and a Strategic Builder, you will own technical components end-to-end, from architecture to deployment and validation. You will contribute to proofs-of-concept and MVPs, rapidly moving ideas from sketch to production.

Your responsibilities include designing agent intelligence with prompts, reasoning, tool calls, and system integration leveraging the Agentforce platform and current LLM techniques. You will build and integrate data pipelines on Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and other customer data platforms, ensuring data modeling, pipeline shipping, and output validation.

Agentforce is evolving rapidly, and you will have early access to frontier capabilities, providing valuable field insights directly to the product team. You will partner with the Strategic Builder to translate customer business challenges into agentic solutions that deliver real value.

This role requires approximately 25% travel to work directly with customers and deliver impactful solutions.

Experience
- Minimum 3 years of software engineering or technical delivery experience
- Proven production system experience you can confidently discuss
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering
- Deep understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns
- Comfortable working with sales teams and customer architects
- Experience shipping quality code and evaluating AI outputs with engineering rigor
- Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience is a plus

Qualifications
- Salesforce platform experience or certifications (Administrator, Platform Developer I, Agentforce Specialist) are desirable but not required
- Familiarity with agent frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex and orchestration patterns is a plus
- Experience with cloud data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery is advantageous
