About the Role
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where ambition meets action and innovation is a way of life. We are seeking Forward Deployed Engineers — experienced Technical Builders who design, build, and deploy agentic AI solutions directly inside enterprise customer environments. You will work as part of a delivery team, partnering closely with a Deployment Strategist to co-build solutions that go live in production from day one. Engagements range from single large strategic customers to multiple accounts simultaneously, with a focus on real code, real environments, and measurable business impact.

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will ship AI-powered development solutions supported by best-in-class AI tools embedded into your workflow. You will collaborate with Senior Engineers and Deployment Strategists, own technical components end-to-end, and have a clear path to leading complex deliveries. You will work on cutting-edge agentic AI platforms, contributing field insights directly to product teams.

Your work will include developing AI agents that take real actions for real organizations, designing agent intelligence using prompts, reasoning, tool calls, and integrations. You will build and integrate data pipelines on platforms like Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, and Databricks, maintain performance dashboards and KPI reporting, and contribute to proofs-of-concept and MVPs that deploy rapidly. You will co-build alongside customers and partners, sharing best practices and enabling teams to be more capable after each engagement.

This role requires travel approximately 25% of the time to work directly with customers and deliver impactful AI solutions that transform business outcomes.

Experience
- 3+ years of software engineering or technical delivery experience, with at least one production system you can confidently present
- Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience (consulting, professional services, or forward deployed engineering) is required
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering, able to analyze and improve prompt performance
- Fluent in at least one of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex
- Deep understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns
- Experience working with sales teams and customer architects
- Proven ability to ship quality code and evaluate AI outputs with engineering rigor
- Active experimentation with emerging AI tools, models, and frameworks

Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Nice-to-have: Salesforce platform experience or certifications (Administrator, Platform Developer I, Agentforce Specialist)
- Familiarity with agent frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex and orchestration patterns
- Experience with cloud data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery
- Background in specialist AI delivery areas such as data engineering, platform architecture, or headless deployments
