About the Role
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where ambition meets action and innovation is a way of life. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will be an experienced Technical Builder designing, building, and deploying agentic AI solutions directly inside enterprise customer environments. Working closely with a Deployment Strategist, you will co-build solutions that go live in production from day one, impacting some of the largest enterprises globally. Your work will span configuration, customisation, and full-stack deployment, shipping solutions customers depend on.

You will develop AI agents and experiences that take real actions for real organisations, designing agent intelligence including prompts, reasoning, tool calls, and integration with customer systems. You will own technical components end-to-end, build and integrate data pipelines on platforms like Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, and Databricks, and maintain agent performance dashboards and customer KPI reporting. You will contribute to proofs-of-concept and MVPs, co-build alongside customers and partners, and provide valuable feedback to product teams. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI platforms and collaborate with senior engineers and strategists to deliver measurable business impact.

Experience
Minimum 3 years of software engineering or technical delivery experience, with at least one production system you can confidently present. Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience is required, ideally in consulting, professional services, or forward deployed engineering. Hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering is essential. Familiarity with data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns is expected. Experience shipping quality code and evaluating AI outputs with engineering rigor is necessary. You should be comfortable collaborating with sales teams and customer architects and excited to travel approximately 25% of the time.

Qualifications
A degree in Computer Science or a related field is required. Proficiency in at least one of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex is expected, with a willingness to learn additional languages as needed. Salesforce platform experience or certifications (Administrator, Platform Developer I, Agentforce Specialist) are a plus. Familiarity with agent frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex, cloud data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery, and specialist AI delivery areas including data engineering, platform architecture, or headless deployments are advantageous.
