About the Role
You will play a vital role in maintaining and improving the quality of homes and buildings across the community. You will be trusted to use your expertise and judgement to find the best solutions, often working independently but supported by a collaborative team.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You will work in both occupied and empty properties, ensuring every job meets high standards of workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction. As the face of the Council’s repairs service, your ability to communicate clearly, work efficiently, and treat residents with respect is as important as your technical skills.
You will also help shape the future of the service by mentoring apprentices, sharing your knowledge, and staying up to date with the latest regulations and best practices. From safeguarding and asbestos awareness to working at heights and lone working, you will be expected to uphold the highest standards of health and safety in all tasks.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and requires a Standard DBS check.
