About the Role
At Gardiner & Theobald, Project Managers play a key role in the successful planning and delivery of construction and infrastructure projects. You will be working within our infrastructure and major projects team to support a diverse range of clients. Project Managers coordinate project teams, manage programmes, facilitate effective communication and guide projects from inception through to completion. Effective stakeholder management, communication and risk management are central to this role.
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be working towards chartered membership of APM while gaining valuable work experience. You will join the G&T Accelerate Programme, combining real responsibility, expert mentoring and accredited training to help you gain a professional qualification and accelerate your career. Over the course of the programme, you will gain experience across a variety of projects while developing the technical, commercial and leadership skills required to become a successful Project Manager.
The role is varied and dependent on the team and sector you work in. You will assist your line manager with daily tasks, working with autonomy while knowing when to seek guidance. You will build a solid knowledge base of your role, the firm and the industry, understanding how they interconnect.
Typical responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of project programmes and monitoring key deadlines, recording minutes and actions from meetings, supporting analysis of project data, providing client updates, maintaining project documentation, assisting with contract administration, attending project meetings and site visits, supporting delivery of project objectives, preparing performance and progress reports, building positive relationships with clients and stakeholders, supporting time and resource management, and coordinating project close-out activities.
Experience
While no specific prior experience is required, a genuine interest in the construction and property industry, particularly infrastructure and major projects, is essential. You should be eager to learn and develop professionally.

Qualifications
