About the Role
At Gardiner & Theobald, Project Managers play a key role in the successful planning and delivery of construction and infrastructure projects. As a Year Out Project Manager, you will join the first year of the G&T Accelerate Programme which combines real responsibility, expert mentoring and accredited training to help you start preparations towards Chartered membership of RICS. You will work closely with your line manager and project teams, assisting with various aspects of daily work and developing a solid knowledge base of your role, the firm and the industry. The role offers varied experience depending on the team and sector, with opportunities to support project scheduling, contract documentation, client communication, and project delivery from inception through to completion. You will be expected to work with autonomy while knowing when to seek guidance to ensure the best outcomes. Effective stakeholder management, communication and risk management are central to this role.

General Responsibilities
Supporting the team in the preparation of project schedules and contract documentation.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation and records.
Attending site meetings, including design team and contractor progress meetings.
Providing administrative support to Project Managers to enable efficient project delivery.
Developing an understanding of client requirements and contributing to client-focused solutions.
Taking minutes and recording key actions during project meetings.
Supporting preparation of performance reports, ranking reports and weekly progress updates.
Assisting with collection, development and analysis of project data to support decision-making.
Helping develop and implement action plans for effective time, resource and process management.
Working closely with Project Managers to support achievement of project objectives.
Liaising with project leads and other Project Managers to maintain project programmes and effectiveness.
Reviewing project progress and gathering data relating to project delivery and execution.
Coordinating with Project Managers and project leads throughout and following project execution.

Requirements

Qualifications
Good A-Level grades or an equivalent qualification.

Experience
No prior experience required, but a genuine interest in the construction and property industry is essential.
